This is a real machine. I bought it for my granddaughter but had it delivered so I could examine the car before giving it to her. He came today with everything he needed except thread and cloth: a needle was already attached to it. A good light went on to illuminate the sewing foot. It had extra plastic spools, extra sewing needles; a plug-in to start the machine and a sewing foot that you kick on the floor. The instructions are written in perfect English. My own Bernina is 50 years old; and still works great. That's why I chose the Bernett 33 for my granddaughter. That someone else in Switzerland is building this car (or a similar story) for Bernina is clear from the instruction manual. And that' good enough for me. (FYI, a regular Bernina machine is $1,100 and up at the Bernina store.) The Berbette 33 sewing table is the perfect size for basic sewing at home. A carrying handle is attached to the top for easy transport. It's light enough to put on the table. Part of the sewing table is released by pulling to the left, exposing a narrow sleeve for sewing on a sleeve or cuff or hem. My old metal coil doesn't fit in the coil choke; So I used their plastic spool. I did a practice run as shown in the photos. I got used to the buttonholes after a few practice sessions.
