I found a method that worked fairly well and once I got used to it the process went relatively smoothly. I bought these mugs to make custom caprese salads for a party. I made them the night before and added fresh basil and balsamic glaze just before the guests arrived. I was afraid that I would have to open and close them again, but I found that after the initial installation, the lids were very easy to put back on without much effort. The cups and lids are quite sturdy and well made and the lids hold securely. Overall I am happy with this product and would buy it again.
