First of all I have to say that I am NOT new to technology/hardware. No way; I'm the first person people call when their computers need maintenance. Each of the computers in my house was built by me. So you can understand it was quite frustrating when I couldn't get this thing to work even after playing around with it for a good 3-4 hours and even calling tech support (never had to ask tech support for help). ).in a setup in my life for every other hardware I own). This product simply does NOT work as advertised. I wanted to connect a Canon S520 color printer and a Brother HL1440 laser printer. It seems that USB doesn't work when I connect the parallel port. Both printers have a parallel port and a USB port, so I tried each via the parallel port and each via USB to see if the problem was with the printer or the print server. no My other complaint about this product is that it doesn't automatically install drivers. It's not user friendly. You must install printer drivers AND print server drivers on each computer in order to print to the printer. Anyway, after some frustration trying to get the print server to work as advertised. , I will change it again and go back to the previous setting.
