I would look for a different brand of radio.

1st off. The tuner's plastic cover fell off when the radio fell on its face. The reception is very bad. The volume is very weak. The solar battery is not working on my device. I noticed that the device consumes a lot of electricity. I left the device on for 8-10 hours and the batteries were completely dead. I bought this device as a survival device and am glad I tested it before I really needed it. I will try other brands of shortwave.
