If you are doing repairs with new fork seals on a Rock Shox fork with 32mm stanchions, you will need this tool. This works fairly easily (you may need a soft mallet to get the gaskets to seat). Failure to use this tool will damage your new seals. Nobody rebuilds their forks every 25 hours of riding, but you're more likely to be installing new seals every year or two if you have this tool. Worn seals will let sand through and scratch the struts. Do not take any risks.
