Perfect fit when sporting

This is the correct tool to install fork dust seals on a Bluto. A socket wrench was initially used to push the seals in, but this tool makes the job a lot easier.

Pros
  • Fits me perfectly
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Expensive but perfect for cycling

I don't mind spending some money to do things myself and get it right. This tool is suitable for installing Reba dust seals. It works great for 10 seconds which you should use when servicing the lower parts of the fork. I only gave four stars because I think it's a bit overpriced for what it is.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Expensive

The right tool for the job.

I used this to install a set of new Fox low friction wiper seals. It creases the lip a bit but makes installation easier and a lot cheaper than the fox tool. Highly recommended if you want to replace the seals yourself. I tried all the mechanical tricks with homebrewing to no avail until I bought this one.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Not bad

works fine but I'm still trying to flush install the gaskets.

works fine but I'm still having trouble getting the seals flush with the fork. I've seen some homemade tools that do the same thing as this tool but better because they're longer and give you more options. Haven't used any of the others, and as I said, this one does the job.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Empty

Fits RS not Fox

I bought this to use on Rock Shox and Fox forks. Both sizes are 32mm. Since it was $20 cheaper than the comparable Fox version, I was hoping to use it on both. While this works well for Rock Shox wipers, it doesn't work as well with Fox wipers. When used on Fox wipers, it destroys the inside and pushes out the spring. While it doesn't make much of a difference in the long run and eventually works, you'd think 32mm would be 32mm from either company.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • High price

Everything went perfectly with this tool and my rebas runs perfectly

This is the must have tool if you want to avoid nasty surprises when servicing your RockShox front suspension. In my case, this isn't the first time I've used it when I was servicing one of my Rebs and when air was added to the top chamber (last step). the seal fell off and of course I had to redo everything. I've been studying hard. Everything went perfectly with this tool and my rebases are working fine. By the way, be sure to order the right one (32 vs. 34).

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Unreliable

If you're rebuilding a fork, just buy it.

During the rebuild, only use this tool for about a minute to press the dust seals onto the fork legs. It takes some body weight to slide them into place, but the tool makes it incredibly easy. At first I was outraged by the price of such a simple tool, but it really made the process easier. I travel a lot and will certainly rebuild again in the future and knowing I've already bought a tool all I have to do is buy seals and oil and then I'm good to go.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Essential tool for Rock Shox forks with 32mm stanchions

If you are doing repairs with new fork seals on a Rock Shox fork with 32mm stanchions, you will need this tool. This works fairly easily (you may need a soft mallet to get the gaskets to seat). Failure to use this tool will damage your new seals. Nobody rebuilds their forks every 25 hours of riding, but you're more likely to be installing new seals every year or two if you have this tool. Worn seals will let sand through and scratch the struts. Do not take any risks.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • I will add later
