Not really a hunting laser range finder, this is a golf range finder with camouflage blades

The description says this is a hunting range finder. only has a camouflage design. You can use it for hunting in good conditions, but it will not withstand moderate hunting, it is too light, not durable, and moisture will certainly soil it. Also, it's built for golf, not hunting, which means it uses close target priority over far target priority, which is the standard for hunting. When golfing you are looking for a nearby object like a pin, when hunting you are looking far away for game and you want to be able to easily separate animals from trees, bushes etc. This is a very lightweight device that you probably won't take a hit. or knocked at all. For an additional $70, you can get a quality hunting brand with a lifetime warranty like Vortex. In terms of use, it is simple, functional and accurate. It uses 2 AAA batteries (included) and turns on and off quickly with the push of a button. The range finder will turn off automatically after about 5 seconds to save battery power. It's very easy to see and you can hit pretty small dots. I pointed it at ducks on the ground and it did a great job of identifying them. A squirrel moving up a tree was a different story, it couldn't easily tell the squirrel from the surrounding limbs. It worked well when the squirrel was stationary and in an open area of the tree. I measured several distances and the range finder was spot on, it worked perfectly that way. The range finder comes with a black canvas carrying case with magnetic closure. it is not very powerful. It also has a wrist strap and a lens cleaning cloth. In general it works well, it's just not designed for the rigors of hunting or for use in the field. I can take it into the woods and just see how well it works and if I find any differences I'll definitely update this review.
