so I don't really understand why everyone is writing so many 5 star reviews. Why a temperature monitor that can only be monitored when the app is open? What if something happens in your fridge or somewhere else and you need to know about it? The alarm function only works when the app is open. no text, no email, no android alarm. only when the app is open. I was hoping to use it as a monitor that would alert me if the temperature I was monitoring was out of range. you can't do that with it, as they say, that's pretty accurate; Sensors work fine. It's easy to set up and the app is easy to use. it just lacks the "Monitor" feature of the "Temperature Monitor", it's more just a temperature sensor. Maybe you could call it a passive monitor?
