This small wireless adapter seems to work fine on my old laptop. I was a little confused by the instructions for updating the drivers and connecting the adapter, but I followed the instructions in the brochure and it worked. When adding a profile I was given a choice of 2 networks with my network name, a 2.4GH and a 5GH. I chose the name 5 GH and saved it. I thought maybe I should add 2.4GH but that suggested the profile already existed. The speed has been increased from 47Mbps to over 200Mbps. I am satisfied and will order another adapter for my old desktop. While it's not as fast as a wired connection, it's a great, inexpensive upgrade!
