Revainrating 5 out of 5

The undisputed champion of my BBQ kitchen!

I bought a pellet grill this summer and immediately started experimenting with new cooking methods and techniques. My wife was getting annoyed that I was using her expensive set of knives and quite frankly I wanted to take something with me that I wouldn't have to worry about getting damaged or otherwise soiled during practice. I was on a budget for a knife and wanted something that could do it all, after some research I realized that a chef's knife would fill the bill. I looked at a few before settling on this one. Basically, the cost of this knife plus a well-reviewed sharpener was about half the price of its nearest competitor. This knife also came in red which I liked as it is easily distinguishable from my wife's set. It's the right size and shape and it came sharp. This knife has a good weight and the handle is comfortable to hold even when wet. After sharpening, however, it really shines. It holds an edge exceptionally well and can be sharpened to terrible sharpness. With a quality sharp knife, it was easy for me to slice the breast and chop the veggies. The blade shape is well suited for both tasks. I ended up picking up a cake knife to accompany a chef in my arsenal, as well as a pair of quality sheaths for both to keep them safe. Overall, both knives are well made and offer excellent value for money. Generally, two knives, a sheath, and a cheap sharpener are still included in the total cost of my wife's cook. I think my exit precedes hers and I actually catch her walking toward mine when I'm not looking. Keep it up for the price. These are high quality items at a low price.
