Boning knife just watch your fingers

Bought for deer season, worked. The very sharp and easy-to-handle rubber handle ensures a secure grip even if there is blood on the handle. I've since used it to shred a pork thigh for carnitas, which quickly finished a 15lb roast. Very good knife for the money, very easy to resharpen after deer sharpening on my Worx knife sharpener and it cuts like new again.

Works damn well. In my opinion

This is the first time I have bought a bread knife. I always use whatever knife I have on hand to cut bread. Well, I like the Chicago style of Publix bread. And it's quite a crusty bread, so the knives I had ripped the bread as I sliced it. So I wanted to buy something specifically for slicing bread. That works great. I've never had a $100 bread knife so can't say if it's that good lol. All I can tell you is cuts without tearing the bread into nice, even slices. What else would you like?

Mercer Culinary Millennia, 9-Inch Offset, Wavy Edge, Bread Knife is the knife which I reach for more often. I had no idea when I ordered this knife to completely fill my JA Henckels knife block set; that in some cases I will reach for it first. Although it is not intended or constructed, this 1- opening or slicing pound sausage rolls; I've found that I can easily cut the tube into lots of thin slices of sausage ready for the pan. By the way, did I mention it cuts the softest bread cleanly…

Knife doesn't stay sharp

I bought this knife based on reviews as I had to work on three deer over the weekend. I liked the handle, flexibility and weight of the knife. However, I was very disappointed with the knife as it could not stay sharp for long. I even bought a Mercer grinder, but after a while it did little to restore sharpness. I ended up having to pull my whetstone out to get a satisfyingly sharp edge. I confess I checked the knife when I was skinning a deer. I assumed the "boning" knife was the right tool…

They weren't kidding - it's a sharp knife!

With beef prices soaring these days, I took a butcher's advice and started buying whole beef fillets from the local stock club. The price for a whole loin as of 5/24/20 is $9.99 per pound. If I bought it in individual packets it would be at least $5 more per pound. However, it takes a very sharp knife to cut through such a thick loin. I searched several products and settled on the 6" Mercer Culinary Millennia Curved Boning Knife. As you can see in the video, it slices through the fillet like a…

Great knife, super sharp. Don't screw it up like me

This is a great knife, incredibly sharp. I was absolutely amazed at how well it cut through the food. This significantly shortens the preparation time. I have two other knives that are the same (same style) and there was nothing that came close. Then I messed it up by running it through my cheap sharpener. The knife was still very sharp, but I couldn't stop using it. I usually sharpen my knives after using them and I ran this knife through my sharpener which seems to be designed for 20 degree…

Definitely a bargain for the price

It's very rare that a budget item is of high quality. There are many fake reviews on Amazon, many of them simply stole 4 or 5 star reviews from products that have thousands of reviews and "own" them. You'll see when you read the USB-C charger review that says this item is the worst Kungfu Panda movie out of the three. The? I'm not joking. Anyway, this is a very underrated, underrated knife, I'm hoping it stays that way so I can go back and buy a few more at similar prices. However, it is a very

The undisputed champion of my BBQ kitchen!

I bought a pellet grill this summer and immediately started experimenting with new cooking methods and techniques. My wife was getting annoyed that I was using her expensive set of knives and quite frankly I wanted to take something with me that I wouldn't have to worry about getting damaged or otherwise soiled during practice. I was on a budget for a knife and wanted something that could do it all, after some research I realized that a chef's knife would fill the bill. I looked at a few before
