Our three vehicles have almost 500,000 miles on them and we strive to make them last as long as possible. It is not difficult to do this. Regular internal maintenance helps us keep going and quality parts play an important role. Something as small as these little crush washers will keep oil from spilling all over the car frame and garage floor. I mean it's just good practice. Why risk slowly washing that precious dinosaur syrup all over the floor when you can just lock it every time you switch it?
