This toy has three "strings" so it splits perfectly into our three blue and gold ones. The rope used is good. I don't know why others think a heavy cable is bad quality. I'd rather have a good sisal rope or braided heavy twine than chains. The wooden parts are just right for the powerful B&G. Yes, they can chop wood, but that's the point, right? As with cardboard, the squares are just the right size to give more than just a bite or two when chewed. I just received this toy a few days ago and I can already see that I will need more. If I find a toy that ALL boys like, I'm happy. All three birds have their own cage and have adopted this toy and keep destroying it. And the price is right! The price is $24, plus or minus a few cents. I made three toys out of it which is $8 for each "toy". I think they will last at least a couple of weeks so money well spent. Yes, it's made in China, but I've also carefully checked the cord, wood, and cardboard and can't see or feel anything. Nothing strange". Some "wire" toys from China seem to have a rather distinctive smell, often described as something like petrol or diesel. I don't find anything like that in this toy. I'm confident our birds bite into this toy I would definitely recommend this for medium to large sized birds, almost all bird sizes from African grays to large birds.
