Review on 🔥 Painless Performance 30111 Auto Thermostatic Switch - 185 Degrees On/175 Degrees Off with Adapter by Derek Wagner

Works great unlike another brand I tried first!

I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited. It came from the factory with an electric fan controlled by two thermal switches, one on each radiator hose, to turn the fan on at low and high speeds. Unfortunately, Jeep has discontinued all parts of this system, including the switches, and they are not available in the aftermarket. It requires a small modification to the wiring as the connector is different, but otherwise it is a direct replacement. In 2015 I tried the Derale switches in each hose but they switched the fan to either low or high speed. In 2016 I came across Painless 30111 switches and installed them in each radiator hose. A year has passed, the system works perfectly. My temp gauge is right where it has been since new when the original switches worked, even on 90 degree days with the AC on! If you have a Jeep 5.9 Limited or Dodge Ram with the Electric Fan high performance cooling option, I highly recommend installing it!

Pros
  • Thermostat turns on at 185 degrees and off at 175 degrees
Cons
  • I have doubts
