The second time I have to change the jeep 4.0 valve cover gasket. This Jeep had a massive leak that looked like it had a leak in the back. However, it was the valve cover gasket that was leaking from the rear, going down the back of the engine and passing between the bell housing. As with the first case I worked on, this was due to a clogged breather/PCV on the valve cover. Purchase bushings and PCV/breathers and replace them as well. Dorman 47057 PCV elbow (front bonnet), Dorman 47079 elbow (rear bonnet), and Dorman 42344 PCV valve sleeve (order 2). They are much easier to replace when replacing the valve cover gasket.
