The company contacted me by email shortly after placing the order and offered to advise me on the use of their product. I sent a photo and they gave me advice on color combinations to go with my rug and simple instructions. The recommended mix gave me a starting point and came out pretty good after a few tweaks. Be sure to apply a thin layer of glue, I suspect the reviews complaining about the blackout may be due to too much glue. The instructions also say to smooth the fibers, but only lightly smooth the surface you applied the fibers to. Too much pressure can cause the adhesive to spill onto the surface. The company was very helpful, contact them. Attached are before and after photos of approximately 10 inches of damage caused by a dog not wanting to be in a room with the door closed. Directional damage requires a bit more fill or product already on the way.
