This thing comes fully assembled with USB CC and USB CA. No special software is required. For the test, I used a Windows Enterprise image configured to my company's specifications with a P50 Lenovo NVME SSD 00Jt074 512GB drive. Lenovo. I need to recover data from NVME disks to minimize downtime. It doesn't really matter how fast that happens. So I could care less about testing. Why anyone downgrading a PCIE interface to USB would worry about speed is beyond me. In the end it worked well, was fast enough and didn't require any special skills to use. So why didn't I get 5 stars? BAD design choice. You have to completely disassemble this thing to use it and the drive interface is at the bottom. So you have to remove the circuit board to use it. Changing the design so you can connect after removing the cover would certainly earn that another star. Otherwise I'm happy. And one more thing designers should keep in mind. Adding 19 blue LEDs that flash when the drive is accessed might look cool, but save yourself a few yuan by simply putting one on the circuit board and then cutting a hole in the case for you to place it to be able to see.
