Poor quality control and shoddy production. The clamping piece (on the ends of the pliers) will not stay on the yoke unless you perform any motion other than simply squeezing the two ends together (if you try to move the yoke with the pliers, the pliers almost always slip off the yokes). I really only bought them for one job (as I was changing a lot of hoses at once) but ended up using regular pliers to get the job done as I had already thrown those pliers in the bin. . I think you get what you pay for which is why I only gave a second star because they are very cheap (but next time I won't be so cheap).
