
The box comes with a metal strip that you can theoretically use to tear the parchment paper to the length you want. This metal cutter does not work. I use parchment paper everyday to cook bacon in the oven. This paper tears/torn unevenly every time. So we need to cut with scissors. If it takes too long, the paper will touch the oven wall and catch fire. Too short and the bacon will seep underneath, defeating the purpose of using parchment paper from the start. As I said, I buy a lot of parchment paper. A common complaint is that the metal strip has come loose. Here the metal strip does not cut the paper, so the paper tears unevenly, causing the parchment paper to be either too long or too short for the baking sheet.
