Irwin clamps are fine but the carrier did not try to pack them well. They simply threw four heavy iron clips into a box, each in a thin plastic bag, stuffed a couple of airbags inside, and shipped them. This caused the heavy clamps to hit each other during transport, not only destroying the beautiful blue paint, but also scratching the cast iron, resulting in sharp edges that I had to file down. I bought these instead of other C clamps because of the blue enamel which makes them pleasant to use, but the carrier ruined that aspect of the product.
