I purchased two hinges to support the lid of a deck box that weighs less than 50 pounds. I installed the items to the best of my ability, given the cryptic instructions. Both hinges were severely bent when the lid was closed. The second time it was closed, both hinges broke. They consist of a very brittle zinc alloy. It's definitely not "heavy duty" as advertised.
