If you've heard of microwave popcorn, this might not be for you. I love movie theater popcorn and wanted to see if I could make something similar at home. I remember toasting popcorn in a large pot or pan. Thought maybe hot air would be good. I thought I'd try this product as it's not that expensive. I have to say it works great! I started with oil, which worked great with no burnt corn and almost any corn. Tried using butter instead of oil, same thing, although it takes a little longer to clean up if you don't do it right away. As long as you don't go and spend a few minutes after the first grains start to pop, great product! The package that comes with the popper is great, but after that I used the Orville Redenbacher original and it's just as good. I think I'll buy other types of corn in different colors to see if it works just as well. I've made a few batches and so far a great product!
