update Doesn't last

I bought this based on reviews. I like its design and how it adapts in different ways. It held perfectly on the windshield until I put my phone inside. He lasted less than 5 minutes and then fell off the windshield. No extreme temperatures at the time. Returned. I start looking again. I have an iPhone XR with a small case. **Edit*** My husband turned the suction cup part upside down and now it's been sticking to my phone for 2 days. See photo.
