This chair is very strong and very stable. I replaced the 'regular' shower chair with this one after the previous one broke down. That's the difference between day and night. I would recommend this chair to anyone, heavy or not, simply because of the increased stability and better construction. UPDATE (August 2019): This chair is still worth EVERY PENNY. If you have any doubts about buying it, even if it's worth more than £500, do it. When I first bought the chair I was well over the recommended capacity and it was still incredibly durable. I've lost over a pound since then and still use it daily. Showering just got a lot easier! Great chair.
