I bought these to possibly replace my 40 year old dishwasher brush that my dad bought for me in 1978. It starts to loosen a little near the handle, but it doesn't. does not affect its use in any way. I thought I wasted $20 on the worst so what the heck. The new brush is missing in some places. Keep in mind that none of these should be considered high-level cleaners. First, the new brush has a slightly different shape and is slightly wrinkled in the middle. The cleaning area doesn't seem to cover the entire side of the record and the dirt on the brush after cleaning seems minimal. If I follow up with an old brush, I always get away with significantly more dirt. This is AFTER the new brush has been cycled through. Second, a pump sprayer is cheap and wears out after a few uses. This is also a very inefficient way of applying liquid as most of it ends up on the wooden handle. The old way of putting a few drops on a brush and spreading them with the bottom of the bottle was much more effective. The old brush still beats this one. It also has a recess in the handle to store liquid and a dusting brush. The new one comes with a leather drawstring pouch. Fur. I'm not familiar with any of the new low-cost systems, so I can't make any other worthwhile suggestions. The next step is to spend large sums of money on a professional cleaner.
