There's plenty of space for 4 different pills/capsules/tablets. In fact, I think there's too much. This case is a bit too big for a "small" pill case. It's too thick. To me, a small pill case should handle pills for 1 to a few days. This case should easily handle that plus much, much more depending on the size of the meds. The pill case cover closes tightly so less chance of the pills spilling out.
