Not really for beginners. It would be helpful if you were familiar with the Raspberry Pi and connected to the Raspian Linux via ssh and vnc, although the manual has details on how to do this. A beginner learns the basics of Linux, SSH, and VNC, Python programming, image recognition, and basic robot control. The instructions for building a robot dog are sometimes confusing as it is not always clear what the orientation of some parts should be. It would be helpful to use real photos and not computer generated images. The parts are high quality, with spare screws, nuts and a few acrylic pieces just in case. Be sure to buy high-capacity batteries to get the amperage you need. The company is very responsive to any technical support you might need. Less than 24 hours in my experience, which is great given the different time zones. The tips are very helpful and detailed. I'm looking forward to programming new features for this robot and hope that it will become popular enough to create a strong community of hackers and programmers who will share ideas and code for it in the future. Highly recommended.
