Fuel ethanol ruins this carb

Bought for my 1986 F350 Farm Truck. Installation was fairly easy for a professional mechanic, everything needed was included and the carburettor worked well. Unfortunately, I rarely use the truck and it has been standing for about three months. I tried to start the truck and found I had no fuel. I removed the carburetor and found that the main jets were clogged with paint deposits. Everything cleaned up and the car runs perfectly again. Two months later there was no fuel again, this time not only because of the gas paint, but also the rubber seals between the shells, nozzles and the main body broke down. After the $30 rebuild kit I drained both fuel tanks, changed the filters and put in fresh gas and the truck ran great again. Two months later it plugged up again and I sold the truck to someone who could afford to drive it every day and not use ethanol. The openness of these carbs allows moisture to enter the shells over time (sucked in by the ethanol), then the gas evaporates, leaving a mess. I gave it three stars because I think the inner seals should be better able to handle 10% ethanol in almost all fuels.
