Review on Ingersoll 302B Composite Angle Grinder by Jerome Pritchard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best bang for the buck in an angle grinder.

I used to work in a welding shop where everyone had their own angle grinder fitted with a 2" or 3" 3M Roloc grinding wheel. I've borrowed everything from $400 Dynabrade industrial grade die grinders to $10 junk off ebay and found the 302B to be the best. I bought an IR 302B a few years ago and sold it after leaving the welding shop. I am now opening my own welding shop and have bought another one because I know I will need it and I know this one will exceed my needs. I have to admit if I had the money I would buy a Dynabrade. because it's THE MOST AMAZING GRINDER IN THE WORLD but seriously I can buy 5 302B with this money. Also, I have to say that I've never had the opportunity to use an AirCat 6255, but I would love to because they claim to be the quietest air tools. I wonder what torque they have?

Pros
  • For cars and light maintenance
Cons
  • Some bugs
