Review on 🚗 2021 Newest Double Din Car Stereo: Eonon 8 Inch Android 10 Car Radio with GPS Navigation, Split Screen, Apple Carplay - Chevrolet/GMC/Buick Compatible (DSP-GA9480B) by Christopher Clearfield

I bought it when it was $340, shipping took probably 3 weeks to get the unit and another 2 weeks before I could install it. If I had more time I would return it. I wanted an Android head unit and since it fits my Silverado with no dashboard or wiring harness, I went for it. PROS1. Backup camera. I connected the reversing camera to the battery, not the reversing lights. So the camera turns on when the key is turned on, so the picture is almost instantaneous when you turn it on. It also has active policies which are great. In addition, it works while the main unit is booting up, you don't have to wait for it to boot up.2. Steering wheel remote works great. I had no problems at all. CONS1. glare. so many glitters! it sits at just the right angle to get a ton of glare off the rear window.2. launcher. not set up at all. I mainly use BT Audio and Google Maps. I would like to change something, add other applications that I want to use, but I can't. You get two desktops that cannot be changed at all.3. Other launchers will not work. I've tried different launchers, launchers that work fine on my phone or tablet but crash on this device. I've tried AGAMA and Car Launcher, they work for a while and then stop working. I think it might have something to do with Google Maps.4 for some reason. Google Maps. lies terrible. Downloaded local maps, does not help. When I turn my phone off they seem better, but not by much. Speaker. They give you a speaker that plays turn signal sounds, doorbell, etc. Very loud. I sealed it with a piece of tape and that made it the perfect size. I could probably live with that if I could get another launcher to work, or if the default launcher was customizable. In any case, next year I'll probably look for something else.
