Review on Latina Salad Spinner In Red by Joey Pritchard

When my last Piston salad bowl stopped working for no apparent reason, I knew I had to look for a new one with a completely different design. I looked at the ratings and reviews and came across Guzzini. Its design is quite simple, but extremely effective. This salad bowl does not have a plunger or string like most others on the market. It has a handle that slides out and you just turn the basket. It takes very little effort to get the basket spinning really fast. The top of the outer bowl is also flared slightly so when water hits it, it flows to the bottom of the bowl instead of splashing back onto the food in the basket. This will dry out the lettuce and herbs. This spinner salad works so much better than any I've ever had! My last spinner salad never got a completely dry lettuce, but Guzzini manages that with a lot less effort. Also, the Guzzini holds more food in the basket than my previous spinner because the inside of the lid is completely flat, eliminating the need for a piston mechanism to take up valuable space inside the bowl. I hand wash so don't know how it will hold up in the dishwasher but it appears to be dishwasher safe. I am very glad that I chose this model on the market, among others!
