Review on AirPlus DWL 900AP Wireless 22MBPS Access by Will Powers

I installed the DWL-900AP+ on an existing "wired" network to connect a Dell laptop to a D-Link DWL-650+ PC Card. The DWL-900AP+ is connected to a D-Link hub that is connected to my network server. The installation/configuration is very easy! I did my homework first! I read all the reviews and documentation I could find on the net, read the instructions CAREFULLY a few times, then went through everything step by step! Everything worked PERFECTLY! The DWL-900AP+ has been running CONSTANTLY 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for over thirteen months. No problems at all! Signal strength, call quality and range are excellent. It's installed 7 feet off the ground on the front interior wall of my house and I can easily access the network throughout the house as well as our backyard and yard on our property (about 150 feet). Signal strength and connection quality drop a bit, but this drop is negligible! Our house is not thin either! All interior walls are plastered and turned, clad in thick wood paneling and 3/4" knotty pine planks. The exterior is 3/4" pine with 3/4" siding. FAT house! But the D-Link wireless hotspot and the PC cards work GREAT!I recommend D-Link for ALL your network needs!I'm a network administrator and have some experience with multiple brands.Rating, Rules D-Link!
