It's not sealing properly
Our Jeep's check engine light came on and the dealer said the gas cap was not sealing well. We thought it might be our fault for not tightening it properly. But two days ago the light came on again. Same problem and this time the dealer charged us for the work to clarify. We've replaced that gas cap with a Jeep locking gas cap. It's too expensive to try and keep using that gas cap.
