Review on DURAMIC 3D PLA Glow In The Dark Filament With PLA Plus (PLA ) Filament 1 by Andrew Walton

Not the easiest thread to type into, but once you find the settings.

Took me about 30 minutes to set everything up on my SOVOL SV01 (direct drive). This thread seems happier if it cools faster. I was able to get it to print with a bed temp of 50C + Aquanet hairspray, turning off the layer after the first few coats and with a nozzle temp of 215C. When I tried to print at 220-225°C, the ironing effect of the nozzle caused the uncooled filament to drag across the print, creating what appeared to be waves. On the other hand, 205C-210C looked like it was a bit under-extruded. Since this thread tends to dry out, you will get frizz if it dries too slowly. You can fix this by increasing the WIDTH of the line by 50% (ie a 0.35 line width on a 0.4mm nozzle is the new 0.525mm line width for that line). Also, I suspect I can get this to print at a bed temperature of 40C, or even with the bed turned off, as long as I use Aquanet hairspray on my textured glass bed. Pressure welded to bed at settings below. TL; DR ==== Table = 50°C, turn off after the first few layers (cutter can do this automatically) Nozzle = 215°C (view and adjust on the fly when printing starts) Fan = 100% line width = 50% wider (1.5x normal linewidth)
