Although the listing says these shoes have a 'leather upper', I don't think that's the case. I believe it is "leather" (faux leather). There is no leather smell. Each shoe weighs 11.74 ounces. They have a rubber sole, which makes them slightly heavier than other shoes. The outsole is also quite hard. The insole is padded but very hard. There is no vault support. There is nice padding around the ankle/heel as well as around the tongue. There are many small holes on the sides to make these shoes more breathable. These shoes are made in China and sold on Revain by a Chinese company.
