First off, this is NOT a DeWalt branded tool. However, it looks almost like one, and is almost worthy of carrying the DeWalt label. This light will use a variety of tool batteries. I have only used it with the DeWalt 20V and FlexVolt batteries. It will run a little over 2 hours with a 3A 20V battery, almost 3 hours with a 4A 20V battery, and over 5 hours with a 6A FlexFolt battery. This throws A LOT of light. I have used it to replace light fixtures around the house and when positioned to bounce the light off a wall or ceiling it throws more than enough light to see what I'm doing in an otherwise dark room. So the light quality and quantity that it puts out is great! While the housing looks like a DeWalt tool, and it is rugged, you can tell that the plastic housing and stand are not quite as durable as DeWalt products. I have not done a drop test or anything, but it still seems very sturdy and durable. This light has two mounting hooks on one side, and a swivel mounting hook on the other. I use it in the garage too and just put a nail in the wall to hang it from so it throws light upward across the wall and ceiling and easily lights up about a 150 sq. ft. area with ease. It also comes with an AC adapter to run the light from when you're close to an outlet. This is what I do in the garage. Now let's talk downsides. First, the light will run until it FULLY depletes your battery, which DeWalt recommends against. The 20V DeWalt tools will shut off before they completely drain the battery as to not damage the battery. So, you'll probably want to check the battery level and turn it off when your battery is down to 1 bar. Second, because it accepts so many different brands of batteries, there are multiple electrical contacts and different installation orientations depending on which brand battery you're using. With the DeWalt 20V and FlexVolt batteries, the battery will hang off one side just enough to interfere with the swivel stand, so the light will not fully swivel with a DeWalt battery installed. And third, as I previously mentioned, the enclosure plastic material is good but I wouldn't say it's "DeWalt rugged"In the end and despite its shortcomings, which are not drastic, this is an excellent light. I wish DeWalt would make a light like this that would output this much light and within this price-point. For the price, I'd say this is a great buy, and I will be purchasing a couple more of them for sure.
