I don't know what transparency or stretch is. I know I needed them to rebuild my clutch master cylinder on my bike. They seem quite expensive for what they are, and the small flimsy bits that stick into the locking rings feel like they could easily break or bend. But he did what I needed and I can't think of a more sensible or better alternative.
