This device opens these big glass lids. That's a bit problematic. If you try to attach it to the lid, it's not that easy. The lever does not have enough stroke to properly clamp the cover. However, for the elderly like me with weak hands, I can get the job done enough to get to our food. I will also say that to my knowledge there is no other product that works better than this one. I bought 2 other jar openers when I bought this one. One works well with small jars, the other is just thrown away. So don't expect your big glasses to magically pop open, you have to work hard on it. But be patient and keep trying, eventually it will open without hurting your hand.
