A beautiful cooking thermometer with a very easy-to-read display. I bought this thermometer to take the temperature of food I've been cooking or baking, be it steak or turkey. I will say that the display is nice and big and very easy to read. The reason I don't give it five stars is because the only way to turn off the thermometer is to fold the probe back into the body. This becomes a little inconvenient when you need to flush the sensor first and then insert it into your body to turn it off. I'd like a separate switch to turn off the thermometer display, but the only way, as I said, is to put the pros back into the unit. This causes problems as the Pro can be dirty, washed and wet and you don't want to put it in your case when it's wet and because it's very sharp. You must be careful when folding to avoid touching the end, which may cause a serious wound. All in all, this is a very decent cooking thermometer, but you should be aware of the fact I just mentioned.
