Has a limited shelf life. It's also not as thick as the bubble wrap you find at auto parts stores. You don't need much and it's quick to install. All of that is good. It's too easy to abuse the RTV's fat body. Excessive use of RTV increases extrusion and is BAD. Extruded bullets, especially small ones, can get into the narrow passages of engines and gearboxes when dropped. When this happens, everything can get clogged with very bad consequences. Three-Bond cannot cause excessive extrusion. It cannot cause strong extrusion. Three-Bond is sticky enough to stick and nothing more. Be sure to read and follow the torque specifications for any job you are working on!
