Review on PRO BIKE TOOL Mini Bike Pump - Presta and Schrader Valve Compatible, Classic Edition by Ronnie Segobiano

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great pump! to accessory

I was looking at several pumps that would fit my new XC bike and finally settled on this one. The best decision I've made this year. (Well, the decision to retire was pretty good too, but it's definitely a close second.) The pump is indeed a high-performance unit, but without excess bulk. The machined aluminum outer tubes give you a sense of strength and durability. NEVER buy a pump that doesn't have a flexible hose, but this one has a smart hose that fits both common valve stem types. The hose is securely stowed inside the pump and there are very strong dust plugs at each end to keep dirt and debris out. Judging by the descriptions and reviews of other pumps, the displacement is usually quite small. I was very surprised and pleased when I tried the mini pump. It seemed to press my MTB tires a pound every 10-15 strokes, which is very good by comparison. Here, too, you can feel when pumping the device that it is well made, stable and durable. The bracket is made of heavy-duty plastic that is ideal for standard soldering points. The mount has two clamping points, one for the top tube and one for the smaller down tube. Be sure to install the bracket with the larger tube facing up. Once the pump snaps into the mount it really locks in place and the velcro ensures it stays in that position. I put the bike on the pump in pretty rough trail conditions and it didn't budge a bit. No rattling or other noises. You will never know what is there. In short, I am impressed with the quality and functionality of this item and would recommend it to anyone not wanting to return to the truck after a flat tire. .
