I took a risk and chose this stone. One of the things that drew me in is that it resembles the Sharp Pebble brand. Upon review (at least at the time I looked at it) some of the product images showed a Sharp Pebble so I assumed it might be the OEM or related in some way. This has NOT been confirmed or denied, but I still didn't feel like going too deep. So when I received the packaging it was something like my Sharp Pebble stuff, so that was promising. (I don't use them, I have hand sharpened for many years) etc. They were all very good and of decent quality. In terms of use, I felt it should be for a 1000/6000 stone (from the Sharp Pebble brand anyway, I couldn't tell any difference between this brand and this brand in terms of feel and use). It sharpened as I expected and the stone was originally flat so as far as I know everything was fine. I can safely say that I recommend this stone as it is similar to what I am used to at this particular price range and quality. I walked in not 100% sure what to expect and walked out pleasantly surprised! You will not be disappointed with this purchase.
