Review on SpareHand Universal Bike Frame Adapter by Dean Gomatham

Works on women's beach cruiser

After checking all the bike frame adaptors, we went ahead and purchased this one. It's works perfectly. We used it with a Hollywood Expedition Rack for 2 bikes. We have a Felt women's beach cruiser and the adaptor fit without problem between the seat post and handlebars. If there was any issue with the adaptor it would have been that on one side we had to put not the plain bar but the actual pin connector part into the bike rack holder. This never became an issue, we just made sure the pin part faced up. On our bike, we did have to use a strong strap to hold and shorten the distance between the front top frame and the adaptor. The front of our women beach cruiser was hanging below the back bumper, so by tieing the adaptor and front part of the frame together we were able to lift the bike up to just above the bottom of the bumper. This was not the fault of the adaptor but because of our oddly shape women beach cruiser.

Pros
  • Works great. No issues and easy to use
Cons
  • Can cause extra wind resistance and drag while biking
