Review on 📱 RAM X-Grip Phone Mount with Twist-Lock Suction Cup - Vehicle Windshield Mount with Medium Arm by Hayden Hart

I will tell you my product story first and then my experience: 10 months ago in October 2016 I bought three RAM modules: 1 )" Ram Mount Twist Lock Suction Cup Mount with X-Grip Universal Cell Phone Holder, Black, RAM-B-166-UN7U", 2) "RAM Yoke Clip Mount with X-Grip Universal". (TM) Small Tablet Holder" and 3) "Swing Arm with Dual Slot Frame Mount for 1" Ball Bases." I frequently replace the X-Grip mounts and mounts on my phone and iPad Mini 4 with a suction cup mount for use in cars and planes. I find this type of mount to be the most convenient, but the clip-on mount that comes with the iPad Mini 4 X-Grip also works well on the plane. I've been waiting to write a review because I wanted to spend time with the product to see what I think. I'm writing this review today because of the excellent customer service experience I've had with the company recently. All RAM components appear to be well put together. They are a combination of die-cast aluminum and hard (but not brittle) plastic, plus rubber where required to adhere to surfaces and/or grippers. I'm picky about build quality and while build quality may be better compared to this type of product, I find the quality of the RAM product to be better than anything I've seen and perfect for the current job. So far all the main components have held up well. What prompted this review today was an issue I was having with the X-Grip suction cup phone mount. I encountered two small issues: 1) the clear coating on the rubber suction cup itself was starting to peel off and 2) one of the X-Grip rubber caps broke and fell off. Anything can happen to any product, so I just called RAM (National Products Incorporated) and told them about it. The support rep I spoke to directed me to their website's product replacement request page and helped me fill it out (Note: RAM will request a copy of your invoice. I had mine from Revain, but that's how I got the impression that the agent , which is okay if I haven't done it). I quickly filled out a request with a brief explanation of what had happened. Today - 4/5 days later - I received a package with spare parts - free of charge. RAM claims to stand behind its product, and today I discovered that the company does just that. Based on my experience with the product and the customer support I was given with a minor issue, I recommend RAM Mounts to anyone looking for this type of accessory. And if I ever have such a need again, I will first go back to the RAM and look for a solution. If they are, I will buy again.
