Review on Airaid Cold Air Intake System AIR-450-265 for 2011-2014 FORD Mustang: Boost Horsepower & Superior Filtration by Quintin Boner

Finally bought this for my 2014 Mustang V-6. At the moment the mileage is only 1100 km. The instructions are pretty clear, removing the old airbox is very easy. There were a few tricks to reinstalling. It's a good thing you're reusing the old rubber bushings on the airbox. If you can't fit that into the box with the screw, do it from the opposite side, you can't remember to put the top or bottom into the new box, it will be squeezed through the hole. I've read that some have trimmed the box to fit, but that's not necessary. The kit did not include the hex wrenches needed to install the TPS onto the new pipe, just the torx to remove it. I already had it so it was good. It was a bit difficult to insert the hose and box and assemble them. it fits really tight! I put the rubber on the intake, smeared some engine oil to make it slide easier, then I had to unscrew the box and put the hose in the box, plug it in once, then put the hose on the rubber on the intake, then the box bolt. Finally step back and then screw the pipe to the box. It was a bit difficult but not impossible, just a good fit. once all inclusive it is nice. Drive, immediate throttle response increased. If you give it a lot of gas, around 2000-2500 rpm, you'll hear it growl like it should. in normal driving everything is nice and quiet as before. Claims maybe 13 hp more, but I don't have a dyno. If so, that brings the 2014 to 318 hp. for the V-6, only 2 behind my '99 Cobra which I just traded in for it with 320hp so I'm back where I was! Generally very nice, looks good under the hood and appears to be really nice. I'll know more for sure when I drive it more and drive a few miles. I also wanted to add that I also have a 6 speed automatic.
