The device requires a 9V battery (not included). The flap that holds the battery in place has two wafer-thin tabs and the battery fits snugly inside. Both tabs broke trying to install the door so I taped the door shut before I could even use it. I didn't put much effort into it, the door is just cheap. Another thing I don't like is that this works with 90 different types of refrigerants so you have to scroll through a long list to find the right refrigerant which is a hassle. It remembers the last refrigerant setting, which is good, but it would be better to put the most commonly used refrigerants at the top of the list to minimize scrolling. The controls are simple but the hoses are not included so I need to buy some before I can try it. I like the soft rubber idea, but it's on the top and bottom, not where you hold the sensor or on the edges, which unfortunately hit the ground if the sensor falls. For what it's worth ($65 at the time of review, plus the cost of two hoses), you're better off getting mechanical manifold sensors in my opinion.
