OK but not quite right

I bought this to replace a similar Android 5 box I had in a 2012 Wrangler. The old device still worked, but the old Android version made it difficult to run apps on it. The new device has a slightly different button layout, but overall it's about the same. Android and the touchscreen are a big step up from standard devices. Installation is easy: pull up the dashboard and unscrew the old radio. The new one connects directly to the stock wiring harness and "presto"! I had already installed a reversing camera with an antenna booster, so there was nothing left to do but connect this device. Now about problems. I got a bad block initially. By a failed device I mean that the CANBUS decoder just wasn't working properly. The steering wheel controls didn't work, sometimes it seemed like it wouldn't turn on. So I hit the return button at Revain and they sent me a second unit. It's a bit fiddly, but sometimes the electronics aren't perfect. The second device I received was much better. It turns on, steering wheel controls work, radio reception is good, everything works as expected except for the rear camera. For some reason the radio doesn't recognize that the car is reversing. My only guess is that the radio is not programmed to the correct CAN signal. The old radio tape recorder perfectly recognizes the reverse gear. Because of this, when the jeep is turned on in reverse, the rear camera does not turn on and the volume does not decrease. So I connected the rear camera to the video and just placed the video button on the main page so it can be easily turned on manually. Not the most elegant solution, but it works for me. I can search for someone else's device and return it. Overall this is a good radio but with a fairly basic feature that doesn't work properly I wouldn't recommend it.
