I am so happy with this purchase. It was a bit pricey but I don't regret it one bit after using it. The reader is so beautiful and looks great. It contains batteries, so don't worry. The screen is very nice and the temperature accuracy is excellent. It comes with 6 very good prongs for checking 6 different types of meat. Don't worry about cross contamination. The packaging is excellent, it really feels like a quality product. I have used it several times for cooking and I am very satisfied. All round a great buy if you enjoy cooking.
