First off, this is a nicely built level with easy to read bubbles. Unfortunately, this does not help to overcome the major disadvantage of low accuracy. I ordered a 78" model and it arrived with the end bumper missing and a few nicks on the edge of the frame. It would be better if the manufacturer made some kind of protective packaging. To be honest most of the tiers you see at Home Depot and Lowe's aren't protected yet either, if you're selling through Revain you'd better add the manufacturer's packaging to avoid damage during shipping Box, too big for one Spirit level and there was plenty of room to move which resulted in damage during shipping. The missing end cap was not loose in the box so I can only assume Revain supplied it without an end cap. I am writing this primarily for So I ordered a replacement but waited for it to arrive before sending the first one back. When it arrived I compared both 78" levels and was dismayed to find that both levels read slightly differently in both the horizontal and vertical positions. This took me a bit further in terms of accuracy and so I used a plumb to create a perfectly plumb line which I also checked with a laser level aligned with the plumb line and checked my reference line. I then proceeded to check the accuracy of the spirit levels with a plumb bob. Only one of the spirit levels was accurate in the upright (vertical) position, but not in the horizontal (horizontal) position. The other plane was accurate horizontally but not plumb. How far from 3/16" and 78". This may be acceptable to some people, but not for my book as I want to get as accurate a level as possible, which for me is ideal for 78 inches. the levels that produce them. A vertical spirit level was deviated closer to 1/4 inch, which is totally unacceptable for hanging a door. Good price, cool color, pretty well made and inaccurate. Not a good deal for someone serious about accuracy and build quality!
