I was late in switching to wool running socks. For decades I have been running in poly socks from Thorlo, Adidas, Feetures, Nike and all others. All of them are mediocre for training but good for racing. Then I got a pair of Smartwool socks which were durable, comfortable and didn't itch at all. game changer! Since then I have tried many brands of Merino wool running socks, mainly Balega but also SmartWool. Cloudline beats them all! My feet stay dry, the cushioning is spot on and doesn't break, the fit is snug and they don't slide in the shoe like polyester blends do. Cold days or hot wool socks are the only way to fly!
